Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Installation of all elements in landscaping including walkways and patios, retaining walls, plantings, water features, specialty gardens, and lawns
  • Manage job budgets including labor, materials, and equipment usage
  • Train, monitor, and direct Crew Persons
  • Problem solve and effectively communicate solutions to the Landscape Architect
  • Participate in snow removal operations as assigned

Summary of Requirements:

  • Maintain a valid Driver’s License
  • Demonstrate ability to endure repetitive bending and twisting motions, and lift more than 80 pounds
  • Ability to interpret complicated landscape plans and grading/elevation plans
  • Ability to make landscape calculations
  • Experience in safe operation and maintenance of assigned equipment, including laser transits

Summary of Desirable Skills:

  • Crew Leader experience in both hardscape and softscape installations
  • Plant identification
  • Experience with various loaders, attachments, and various truck/trailer combinations
  • Maintain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

  • water features
  • lighting systems

  • Basic plant identification
  • Experience in the safe operation and maintenance of assigned equipment
